After about five years working with electronic sounds, I went back to warping and programming acoustic recordings. This time, though, as well as taking field recordings, I performed and recorded the vast majority of sounds myself, as opposed to rummaging about for the right sample.

I wanted to create atmospheres which had plenty of room to unfold, spread out and breathe. I also tried, in particular with the track Overcoat (probably my favourite), to avoid relying too much on repetition when creating these kind of mesmeric moods. On the whole, the resulting album is a collage of sweeping strings, hazy textures, broken pianos, vocals and more, in what (I hope) achieves an odd clash of bold, relaxing and unnerving.

It was released under the pseudonym Jack Leadhill and it's available at BandCamp, on Spotify, Amazon, iTunes... all the usuals.
