I've been trying to look at the way in which marks left by passage of time can add new meaning to things, especially when this new meaning contrasts sharply with how the thing was originally perceived. This record has a mix of influences from Guillaume de Mauchat to Erik Satie, and I've tried to use this variation to create and sustain kind of gentle conflict between the secular and the spiritual.

It's a bunch of gentle, meditative piano pieces, basically! The title Fantasmagorie comes from Emile Cohl's 1908 animated film.
